200,000 attended the Celebration of Life 1971 rock concert in McCrea,
Louisiana, Cypress Pointe Plantation, Louisiana, USA

John Sebastian, Chuck Berry, War, Eric Bourdon (with and w/o War),
Bloodrock, Stoneground, Ted Nugent played the 1st night "Amboy Dukes",
IKE & Tina Turner, Firewind, Country Joe McDonald, Cat Stevens, BB
King, Potliquor, Melanie, Chambers Bros, Tony Joe White, Savoy Brown,
Glass Harp, Its A Beautiful Day, Taj Mahal, Richie Havens, The Allman
Brothers, Black Oak Arkansas, Junk, Stephen Stills, Flying Burrito
Brothers, Canned Heat, John Lee Hooker, Brownsville Station, High
Voltage, Ruth Copeland, Ravi Shankar & there was a trapeze act!
All artist did not perform due to scheduling. The event was held on a 750
acre soybean field. Day time Tempature's ranged from 96-109 degrees.
Music started at 6 at night and went until 6 in the morning.
First act was : John Sebastian.

music festivals where I was on the
production staff and worked with
a producer like Lou Wienstock
from Toby Roberts Touring. The
only thing I can say, even to this
day, is, "it was a great Music /
Arts & Crafts festival". The
